Is Cal-Maine the Perfect Stock?

Every investor would love to stumble upon the perfect stock. But will you ever really find a stock that provides everything you could possibly want'
One thing's for sure: You'll never discover truly great investments unless you actively look for them. Let's discuss the ideal qualities of a perfect stock, then decide if Cal-Maine (Nasdaq: CALM  ) fits the bill.
The quest for perfectionStocks that look great based on one factor may prove horrible elsewhere, making due diligence a crucial part of your investing research. The best stocks excel in many different areas, including these important factors:
  • Growth. Expanding businesses show healthy revenue growth. While past growth is no guarantee that revenue will keep rising, it's certainly a better sign than a stagnant top line.
  • Margins. Higher sales mean nothing if a company can't produce profits from them. Strong margins ensure that company can turn revenue into profit.
  • Balance sheet. At debt-laden companies, banks and bondholders compete with shareholders for management's attention. Companies with strong balance sheets don't have to worry about the distraction of debt.
  • Money-making opportunities. Return on equity helps measure how well a company is finding opportunities to turn its resources into profitable business endeavors.
  • Valuation. You can't afford to pay too much for even the best companies. By using normalized figures, you can see how a stock's simple earnings multiple fits into a longer-term context.
  • Dividends. For tangible proof of profits, a check to shareholders every three months can't be beat. Companies with solid dividends and strong commitments to increasing payouts treat shareholders well.
With those factors in mind, let's take a closer look at Cal-Maine.!

With four points, Cal-Maine does better than laying a goose egg, but it's definitely not perfect. The egg producer faces many of the same problems that companies throughout the food and agricultural industries are dealing with.
A big challenge that agricultural companies have had to overcome is the rising price of food. That's a positive for companies that help farmers increase production, such as fertilizer makers Terra Nitrogen (NYSE: TNH  ) and PotashCorp (NYSE: POT  ) . But it's bad news for food producers that need feed grain. In the chicken segment, Sanderson Farms (Nasdaq: SAFM  ) , Tyson Foods (NYSE: TSN  ) , and Pilgrim's Pride (NYSE: PPC  ) have fought among themselves to maintain high production levels despite sagging demand.
Similar dynamics have Cal-Maine feeling the heat of lower margins. Earlier this week, the company announced that profits fell 35% despite a big jump in sales. Without hedges of the sort that Smithfield Foods (NYSE: SFD  ) put in place, Cal-Maine had no choice but to cut its dividend. Even worse, CEO Dolph Baker expects no respite until at least t! he middl e of next year.
Cal-Maine performed well during the last recession and could be a good play for investors expecting further turbulence in the market. But until feed prices moderate, it's not going to become a perfect stock.
Keep searchingNo stock is a sure thing, but some stocks are a lot closer to perfect than others. By looking for the perfect stock, you'll go a long way toward improving your investing prowess and learning how to separate out the best investments from the rest.

2007 Shanghai Bicycle Show-Specialized Roaed Bikes

Specialized will attend 2007 Shanghai Bicycle Show, and these are their 2007 Road Bikes, Lets's have a look first.

Bike's Story:

Velodrome/Fixed Gear Road
As pure a bike as you'll ever find, the Langster likes fast friends. Clearly a bike with one gear and no brakes is not for the faint of heart. That's OK, though, because you're not worried about spinning it out down the backside of a small roller or having a little water splash up off the back tire. You're more about the hum a properly tuned fixed-gear bike makes when brought up to speed, the roller-coaster-gone-off-the-tracks feeling of dropping down the banking with a lap to go, or cranking past fellow riders on a shallow climb.

Features:
1.S-Works E5 AEROTEC frame, fully manipulated tubing, compact track racing design, steel dropout protectors
2.Specialized FACT monocoque carbon fork; full carbon legs, crown and steerer
3.S-Works FACT carbon stem, 31.8mm handlebar clamp with S-Works Track bar
4.Shimano Dura-Ace, track crankset
5.Zipp 404 Track, carbon tubular deep section wheeelset
6.S-Works Mondo Tubular tires
7.Body Geometry Toupé Team saddle and S-Works SL, FACT carbon seatpost

2007 Shanghai Bicycle Show Bike's Story:
Triathalon/TT Racing
Thanks to a close eye on the details, the Transition has been designed to cheat the wind and beat the competition. With seconds making the difference between first and, well, really far back, the devil in any multisport event is certainly in the details. So, it's no surprise that multisport athletes stick energy bars to their top tubes, shave the backs of their shoulders and drill holes in their shoes to allow the, um, water to drain out. It's also no surprise that we've designed our Transition with wind cheating aerodynamic efficiency and Ironman-winning geometry.

Features:
1.Specialized E5 AEROTEC frame, fully manipulated Columbus aero tubing, compact Transition race design
2.Specialized FACT monocoque carbon aero fork, carbon legs, crown, and steerer, Speed Zertz
3.Profile Lava, OS stem and Specialized Zertz Transition bullhorn bars
4.Shimano Dura-Ace components with carbon aero brake levers
5.FSA K-Force MegaExo, 2-piece carbon crankset
6.Zipp 404 (58mm rim height), carbon clincher wheelset - no dimpling on rim
7.Body Geometry Toupé Gel saddle

Extreme-C is a special Colnago that was originally created in 2004 as a limited prototype bicycle for Rabobank riders for the mountain TT up l'Alpe D’Huez in the Tour De France. Extremely light, yet solid and safe, Extreme-C is the perfect frame for riders who like the challenge of climbing. In 2005 and 2006, Rabobank rider Michael Rasmussen rode his Extreme-C to a stage win and the Maillot Pois of Best Climber at the Tour de France, while in September 2005, Rabobank's Denis Menchov won the Vuelta a Espana riding a Colnago Extreme-C. These two years of severe testing have shown just how strong, versatile and safe the Extreme-C is.

Created for long and hard mountain riding where every gram is important, the weight of the Extreme-Cis under 1.000 grams in a medium sloping size, but without compromising any safety and security. Extreme-C’s frame has been re-engineered step by step, using round carbon fiber tubing, the best shape for lightness and to increase stiffness, Colnago created new oversized, more rigid chain stays for the Extreme-C to increase power transmission for long, hard riding. The bottom bracket is in CNC Titanium to facilitate maintenance.

Ferrari is celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2007 with a major event from June 21st to June 24th in Maranello, Italy। Maranello will be the finish line in a “relay race” across five continents where participants will carry a baton embossed with symbols of the 60 greatest moments in the company’s history. The relay represents an extraordinary, collective sign of enthusiasm that will bring together Ferrari clients and their cars representing every model and era. The “Ferrari 60 Relay” will kick off on January 28th in Abu Dhabi, site of the future Ferrari theme park, and conclude in Maranello on June 24th, after traversing about 50 countries in 148 days. The central theme of the final events is technological innovation pioneered by Ferrari in the 60 years of its existence. For the occasion, Ferrari is assembling its 60 most important innovations, ranging from aluminum pliers for disc brakes to the electric differential and the F1 gearbox.

Against this backdrop Ferrari has organized its first concours d’élégance: a series of events on the track, at the factory and at the Galleria Ferrari in Maranello celebrating the elegance of the Ferrari। An Opera Omnia book will be published on the company’s history, a collection of pictures and data on all the road cars and race cars built by Ferrari।The baton for the Ferrari 60 Relay was specially created to symbolize the history of the company, from its first success at the Rome Grand Prix of 1947 to the Ferrari FXX of 2006। Our clients will carry the baton around the world in their cars। Each country along the way will dedicate to Ferrari an object representative of their local culture and traditions।

The local Italian Embassies will then forward the objects to the Farnesina Palace in Rome for an exhibition of the whole collection। Once the exhibit is over, the objects will be auctioned off in Maranello, with the proceeds going to a charity ओर्गानिजेशन.

From Abu Dhabi the long relay will proceed to Dubai, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia. From the Emirates it will head east, to Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, China, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan, Australia, and New Zealand. From Oceania it will fly to South Africa and then on to Latin America, reach Mexico, and from there continue on to United States and Canada. Then to Europe, where it will cross Portugal, Spain, France, Luxembourg, Belgium, Holland, the United Kingdom, Greece, Russia, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovenia and Turkey. It will then touch Egypt and Lebanon, and finally to Italy, where it will touch all the main cities finally arriving, after a special ceremony in Rome, in Maranello.

Of particular interest are the 60 symbols created for the 60 events। Enamel reproductions of them by Editalia (Gruppo Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato) will be applied to the baton, and 60 posters of the symbols will also be made. What makes these symbols unique is the fact that they were produced by six different creative teams, guaranteeing a vision of the whole of great graphic and symbolic interest. The following advertising agencies were the creators: Intesta e D’Adda, Lorenzini, Vigorelli, BBDO, Alessandro Migliorini of Area Creativa, Marco Morosini, Enzo Naso of the eponymous firm, and Wolfgang Seidl of Seidldesign.
