Colnago's all new for 2007 Extreme-Power is the most innovative bicycle in the Colnago range. The Extreme-Power was born to meet the demands of sprinters Alessandro Petacchi and Erik Zabel of Team Milram and three time World Champion Oscar Freire of Team Rabobank who all have a power output of 180 kg for each pedal stroke. Extreme-Power frames have special conical oversize down tube and top tube tubing, with a 38mm diameter head tube and 44mm bottom bracket. Inside these special butted Extreme-Power tubes are two unidirectional high modulus carbon fiber longitudinal reinforcement ribs that are 10mm long and 0,8mm thick. These internal reinforcements provide 30% more resistance to torsional stress than before, while the 35mm diameter seat tube accomodates a 31.6mm oversize seat post. The bottom bracket is in CNC Titanium to facilitate maintenance. Extreme-Power's rear chain stays are in Colnago's distinctive Leaf shaped form, with a new oval 17*35mm insert into the bottom bracket. Extreme-Power is available in 15 traditional sizes from 52 c\t to 65 c\t , 7 sloping sizes and the Extreme-Power can also be made in personalized custom sizes.

Extreme-C is a special Colnago that was originally created in 2004 as a limited prototype bicycle for Rabobank riders for the mountain TT up l'Alpe D’Huez in the Tour De France. Extremely light, yet solid and safe, Extreme-C is the perfect frame for riders who like the challenge of climbing. In 2005 and 2006, Rabobank rider Michael Rasmussen rode his Extreme-C to a stage win and the Maillot Pois of Best Climber at the Tour de France, while in September 2005, Rabobank's Denis Menchov won the Vuelta a Espana riding a Colnago Extreme-C. These two years of severe testing have shown just how strong, versatile and safe the Extreme-C is.

Created for long and hard mountain riding where every gram is important, the weight of the Extreme-Cis under 1.000 grams in a medium sloping size, but without compromising any safety and security. Extreme-C’s frame has been re-engineered step by step, using round carbon fiber tubing, the best shape for lightness and to increase stiffness, Colnago created new oversized, more rigid chain stays for the Extreme-C to increase power transmission for long, hard riding. The bottom bracket is in CNC Titanium to facilitate maintenance.

Ferrari is celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2007 with a major event from June 21st to June 24th in Maranello, Italy। Maranello will be the finish line in a “relay race” across five continents where participants will carry a baton embossed with symbols of the 60 greatest moments in the company’s history. The relay represents an extraordinary, collective sign of enthusiasm that will bring together Ferrari clients and their cars representing every model and era. The “Ferrari 60 Relay” will kick off on January 28th in Abu Dhabi, site of the future Ferrari theme park, and conclude in Maranello on June 24th, after traversing about 50 countries in 148 days. The central theme of the final events is technological innovation pioneered by Ferrari in the 60 years of its existence. For the occasion, Ferrari is assembling its 60 most important innovations, ranging from aluminum pliers for disc brakes to the electric differential and the F1 gearbox.

Against this backdrop Ferrari has organized its first concours d’élégance: a series of events on the track, at the factory and at the Galleria Ferrari in Maranello celebrating the elegance of the Ferrari। An Opera Omnia book will be published on the company’s history, a collection of pictures and data on all the road cars and race cars built by Ferrari।The baton for the Ferrari 60 Relay was specially created to symbolize the history of the company, from its first success at the Rome Grand Prix of 1947 to the Ferrari FXX of 2006। Our clients will carry the baton around the world in their cars। Each country along the way will dedicate to Ferrari an object representative of their local culture and traditions।

The local Italian Embassies will then forward the objects to the Farnesina Palace in Rome for an exhibition of the whole collection। Once the exhibit is over, the objects will be auctioned off in Maranello, with the proceeds going to a charity ओर्गानिजेशन.

From Abu Dhabi the long relay will proceed to Dubai, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia. From the Emirates it will head east, to Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, China, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan, Australia, and New Zealand. From Oceania it will fly to South Africa and then on to Latin America, reach Mexico, and from there continue on to United States and Canada. Then to Europe, where it will cross Portugal, Spain, France, Luxembourg, Belgium, Holland, the United Kingdom, Greece, Russia, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovenia and Turkey. It will then touch Egypt and Lebanon, and finally to Italy, where it will touch all the main cities finally arriving, after a special ceremony in Rome, in Maranello.

Of particular interest are the 60 symbols created for the 60 events। Enamel reproductions of them by Editalia (Gruppo Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato) will be applied to the baton, and 60 posters of the symbols will also be made. What makes these symbols unique is the fact that they were produced by six different creative teams, guaranteeing a vision of the whole of great graphic and symbolic interest. The following advertising agencies were the creators: Intesta e D’Adda, Lorenzini, Vigorelli, BBDO, Alessandro Migliorini of Area Creativa, Marco Morosini, Enzo Naso of the eponymous firm, and Wolfgang Seidl of Seidldesign.

2007 Bikes Show-Orange Downill 224 GBR

The 224 GBR DH is an outstanding downhill bike-it's the closest you'll get to riding the world-class rig that Steve Peat rode last year and it's and it's made right here in good old Blighty...

Many great things have emerged from the UK:television. The Beatles, fish and chips, quality beer and, of course, Orange Mountain Bikes. the Halifax-based company have always lovingly handcrafted their bikes and have been well supported by riders from the UK and, more recently, across the world. Working with three-time Downhill World Cup Champion Steve Peat fro several years has enabled them to sort the small details that turn already great bikes into amazing machines. The new Orange 224-Peaty's World Cup race-winning downhill rig from the 2005 season is a more than worthy Super Bike..

Handmade in Halifax, the 224 frame starts life as a few simple sheets, lumps and tubes of aluminium. The Building process alone is astonishing, with specific machines to make each bend, fold and bulge in the chassis, but that's a whole story in itself.
2007 bike show
The 224 frame is a refined version of the 222 chassis that's been winnig races since it was released in 2000. It's now an attention-grabbing slender thoroughbred. The older, angular swingarm has been replaced with a simpler, cleaner looking unit and Orange have managed to save weight and increase performance. A new low pivot position offers a noticeable imporvement in the rear end's action throughout the stroke... but you'd probable have guessed that anyway. The front end has been slimmed down and adjusted too. Combine all these tweaks and it all adds up to an amazingly low overall weight that's just shy of 37lb. Fork lock(the angle through which you can turn the fork) is better than on previous frames and there's plenty of shock, bottom bracket height angle adjustment.

The GBR is the all-singing, all-dancing top-of-the-range machine in the 224 fleet. The graphics are smart, patriotic and mouthy-when this thing coms hammering throught a rock garden, all eyes will be on it.

What makes this Bike a super Bike?
1. Designed, developped and handmade in Britain
2.Only weighs as much as a single-crown freeride rig
3.A World Cup winning mother of a bike

I am looking forward to see that will be more good Bikes show in

Why the Five SE?
The Five SE, is the best Five package available. Extra features on the suspension and the best componentry give this Five the Special Equipment tag.

Look at the Five S model for the simpler approach, or check out the Pro Model for high-end performance without the SE touches.

In a class of its own, the Orange Five is the All-Mountain trail burner that everyone wants in their shed. There’s hardly a day when pulling a Five out of the rack wouldn’t make sense. Built with the same mind-set that created the 224 and the Patriot, the Five is built to handle itself on the toughest terrain. Built light to skittle up climbs like a mountain goat, yet robust enough to descend with the sure-footed confidence of a much heavier bike.

A steadfast favourite in magazine tests, the performance star of the MBR Ultimate Trail Bike test, XC 24 hour solo champion under Team Mojo’s Paul Murrin, the Orange Five just gets better and better.

The Orange Five hasn’t been overlooked in the 2007 revamp. The brand new chassis has a new sleek folded downtube section increasing the weld strength at the head tube whilst simplifying the construction. A custom shaped and curved top tube provides some extra standover clearance, and the new CNCed shock mount brings extra strength and reliability to version 7 of the Ultra Lite Beam swing-arm.

Experience

Strengths:Excellent for strength and low centre of gravity. The b ike bombproof though have changed a few core components. The Bike itself can cater for 4ft drops with ease whilst tearing up the trails with ease. Uphgills are no different. Slightly light front end though this is adjusted by seat position.

Weaknesses:Headset, Seat post and stem. Continental tryes had to go.

Similar Products Tried:Orange 5 Pro, Specialized Enduro, Cannondale Jekyll, GT RTS1, Spec Enduro pro tryes

Bike Setup:Orange 5 Pro with Chris King headset, DMR V12's, Thomson stem and seat post, XT cogs and chain, Manitou 4 way swinger.

Bottom Line:The bike is awesome. You can throw it anywhere and yet each time the bike shows you the same respect. Wether going up or down this bike stays true and solid. Looking forward to thrashing around Scotland very soon.

2007 Bikes Show-Orange Patriot XCEL

2007 Shanghai Bike Show

Why the Patriot XCEL?
This is the top dog lightweight Patriot, lighter and higher spec than the Patriot XC, featuring the Fox 36 Talas R Fork and Hope Mono Mini brakes. For hard and fast big-trail riders this is the bike to have.

The Patriot is without doubt the most versatile bike in the Orange range. Its all round ability allows it to ably perform as an all day all-mountain trail bike, yet it excels as a full-on free-ride rig in severe Alpine terrain.

The Patriot’s frame has been completely revised with new state-of-the-art folded downtube and swingarm sections. This ingenious new frame shaping gives a bigger contact patch between the CNC machined head tube and the downtube for a stronger welded join avoiding the need for unnecessary gussets. The addition of a CNCed shock mount on the swing-arm disperses shock loads into the wider area of the swing-arm’s body, reducing the stress at the shock’s connecting point.

Improved standover clearance is provided by the lowered top tube, giving extra confidence when things get hectic. Adding a gusset at seat-tube/top-tube joint for extra frame durability.
Optional Rock Shox Maxle compatibility on the rear drop-out is the icing on the cake, bringing a tool-free quick-release 12mm bolt through rear axle to the Patriot.

Single-pivot simplicity means reliability. The tried and tested Orange pivot design is rock-solid and easy to maintain. With the adjustable geometry feature, the Patriot is a breeze to set-up for any riding style.

Experience:
Strengths: Relatively light for the travel, super stiff, single pivot, hand built.

Weaknesses: None that I have noticed, the frame amplifies all sounds on the bike, loud hubs, rattling chain, etc.

Similar Products Tried:Intense Uzzi SLX, Santa Cruz Heckler, Specialized FSR, Cheeta Prowler, Cannondale Super V.

Bike Setup:Romic rear shock (makes all the difference), full XTR, Grimeca 4pot brakes, Nokian NBX tires, Thomson post and stem, easton bar, Fox Talas fork.

Bottom Line:This is by far the funnest bike I have ever owned!! It climbs very well, pedals great, feels lighter than it is, dives into turns like a GPmoto bike, likes to take to the air, and is super stable and predictable. My advise is to go and buy an Orange, put on a Romic shock and you will have one great machine. On the plus side not everyone and there mother has one on the trail. The best bike I have ever thrown a leg over!!
